FCA's Total Athlete Challenge: College Camp Recap
In year one of FCA's Total Athlete Challenge, 52 collegiate athletes gathered at UCLA for a weekend to grow physically and spiritually. Double workouts pushed these athletes to the limit and worship, teaching and small group time stretched every ounce of their spiritual muscle. Five athletes accepted Jesus as their savior for the very first time and eight athletes rededicated their lives to Him.
Athletes from Westmont (photo on the right) and UCSB joined in the action and had this to say about their experience at camp:
“Being surrounded by a group of such awesome people and seeing how far everyone is in their relationship with God (and knowing I will get there one day) was eye opening for me. I learned a lot from everyone. Thank you so much for the opportunity.”
"This weekend was a big step for my walk with Christ because I know where my heart/identity needs to be. God did some WORK in me this weekend. Thank you for sending me."
At FCA, we see the potential and platform in every college athlete. It is our hope to capitalize on that platform and increase that potential so that teams, athletic departments, and campuses can be reached and changed by the love of Christ.
